Arctic Sea Kayak Symposium 2021
DATES CONFIRMED! 7, 8, 9,
Following the successful symposiums of 2019 and 2020 a bigger and better symposium is in the planning stages for 2021. We expect Iceland to be virtually Covid-19 free and one of the safest countries in the world to visit due to Icelands low population and able to have visiting coaches and participants from abroad. We have chosen dates in August to coincide with spring tides to enjoy maximum flow of the water. There will be opportunities for beginners and experienced paddlers.
Jim Krawiecki (Jimski), Author of The Welsh Sea Kayaking Guide has agreed to return to Iceland to assist with guiding groups and coaching participants. Jim is a very experienced paddler with a wealth of knowledge & experience to share & he has guided groups in Iceland many times & is familiar with the area & known to many within Reykjavik Kayak club. We look forward to welcoming him back to Iceland.
Information about further visiting coaches will be added shortly.
Camping and self contained accomodation will be available and boats and equipment available to hire.
Strict Covid-19 safety policies & procedures will be in place to ensure participants safety.
We aim to keep prices as low as possible.
